The Department of Urdu; Islamic Studied was founded in 2001. The Department’s main
goal is to spread the awareness of the literary, linguistic and cultural values of Urdu Language, Islamic Studies. It strives to promote Urdu and Islamic literature as a literature of values,
particularly human values that can survive the swaying forces of time. Its goal is to do
original research in order to advance the realm of knowledge. The Department provides B.A.
in Urdu. Department organizes several cultural and literary activities for the development of
students.
Goals
1. To impart the importance and significance of Urdu & Islamic Studies literature as a
source of human Values.
2. To encourage students’ exploration and development of spiritual, scientific
temperament and human values.
3. To promote communicative skills amongst the students to be a successful person in
the society.
