The Department of “Chemistry” offering Under Graduate program was started in 2004 under the recognition of University of Mumbai. Department of Chemistry has qualified faculty members with research interest. The department offers course at undergraduate level . (B.Sc. Chemistry (6 Units)).
Chemistry is an incredibly fascinating field of study. It plays an important role in everyone’s life and touches almost every aspect of our existence in some way. Apart from being an integral part in meeting the basic needs of food, clothing, shelter, it plays important role in health, energy, environmental issues. Chemical technologies enrich our quality of life by providing new solutions to problems in health, material energy usage. Hence study of Chemistry prepares the students for the world.

- To think and analyze the scientific problems and its solutions as per the scientific perspective.
- To work effectively and safely in a laboratory.
- To promote the research attitude & train them for competitive exams.

- To facilitate students to meet the expanding job opportunities.
- To develop & promote the concept of Entrepreneurship amongst the students.
- To train the students to achieve sufficient quantitative reasoning skills to pursue their career objectives, a related career or further professional training.
- To make them research oriented.
Program Offered
B.Sc. Programme is a six semester choice based credit system (CBCS) program. Typical modules studied during this program include core chemistry topics in Physical, Organic, Inorganic Chemistry and Analytical methods along with applied component Drugs and Dyes in third year. Practicals of all the mentioned courses are also done regularly.
