The crucial goal of the department is to teach a quality education in the subject of Zoology as a basic science and its applied component as Fishery Biology to the students from nearby locality in Mumbra.
The Department is having the following Goals and Objectives:

• To facilitate higher education and research in the field of Life Science i.e. Zoology.
• To develop infrastructural facility and introduce a new tools and techniques in relevant field.
• To provide a comprehensive training in theoretical and practical Zoology and Environmental Biology to students.
• To provide quality education offering skill based programs and motivate the students for self employment in applied branches of Zoology.
• To motivate students to conduct seminars, workshops on the topics included in the curriculum. It will help in achieving academic excellence and exposure.
• Conducting educational tour to giving exposure to the students by visiting Animal park, dairy industry, Sericulture, fisheries, poultry forms, zoo etc.

• To create awareness of INSITU and EXSITU conservation of wild life and Bio-diversity.
