Chairman’s Message
Mr. Ahmed I Maklai
A Warm Greetings to the readers of this message. Since 2001, it has been the long journey, for the Institution has taken many strides to make the institution beneficial to the community as a whole. There are a number of schools and colleges, also an orphanage managed under the flagship of Daar-Ul-Rehmat Trust.
The Objective of Management has always been to strive for academic excellence of students, particular for those coming from low income groups and strata of society. The institution makes provision for scholarship and educational schemes, to poor and needy students, so that they can pursue uninterrupted studies. The DRT’s A.E. Kalsekar Degree College has a vast campus with ample of opportunities for self-development.
There is a spacious library with number of Reference Material,Journals, Magazines, Newspapers and E-Resources for student’s intellectual enrichment.
The college has provision for both outdoors and indoors games with well-equippedgymnasium, Volley-Ball court, Kabaddi & Kho-Kho ground, as we believe that a healthymind resides in a healthy body. There is separate common room facility for both boysand girls. The institute has installed Solar power plant for conservation of resources. TheCollege has Canteen facility for student’s refreshment. There is well-equipped Computer Lab with upgraded softwares. There is also a Separate Research room and Cyber Labfor Professors.
My advice to the student community that is facing competition and challenges in this globalised world, comes through the words of “Malcolm X”. “Education is the passport to the future for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it
today ”Remember! that someday or the other, people will leave you but only your knowledge and talent will stand by in life. So don’t be despair, have trust and faith in your potentials as the future belong to those who are willing to work hard. Also remember that the teacher opens the doors of success for you, but it is you who must enter it yourself.
For teachers, I would like to say that they should be innovative, creative and
entrepreneurial in approach, as it is a known fact that, a teacher’s calibre has tremendous impact on students personality. So, it is important to teachers to be the permanent learner and progressive in approach.
Also I would encourage parents to support and motivate their children to regularly attend lectures, participate in activities and benefit from the learning opportunities that will help in building bright future and make them responsible citizens.
I end by quoting the words of “Abigail Adams”-
“Learning is not attained by chance, it must be sought for with ardour and attended to with diligence.”
